Look at that cute little face & bill!! Love that your share with us...esp. since I'll never see one "in the wild."
I love your comments and pictures. Thankful to share this wonder with you. Greetings from cold and rainy Cologne
How wonderful is mother nature!! So nice to see them back "home".
Yes, it is Suzanne, I agree with you. Apparently Kookaburras only live about 15 years and we've had this pair here about 12 years. I'm hoping that the siblings will keep coming back when and if they mate. Love Chris
Oh Wonderful!! I so love seeing your posts of your nest every year.
Thanks Chris. Hope you're feeling better and not in so much pain.
Love Didi xx
Thanks Didi, off to see the Physio again this afternoon. He is trying his hardest to get me to be in a 'comfortable' state. I don't want to have spinal surgery if I can help it. Love Chirs
Oh my goodness, What a joy it is to see your post. Thank you for sharing... from Tennessee
How awesome.......this world has such wonderful creatures in it....
We are certainly blessed downunder with an abundance of bird life in our backyard and reserve behind us. As I just mentioned to Lidia, I even saw a flock of black cockatoos (quite rare for here) they were awesome! Love Chris
Love to see your pictures every year, thank you, Chris!
Hugs, Lidia
Thanks Lidia, they are gorgeous aren't they? I saw a flock of black cockatoos on my early morning walk today - I managed to take a picture of 3 in a tree in someone's back yard! Love Chris
Always enjoy your posts on the Kookaburras Chris. Would love to see them in person. NO LADDERS FOR YOU WITH YOUR BACK LIKE IT IS. love you!
No I haven't been up the ladder this Spring to see how many were in the nest, so we are just waiting to see how many pop their heads out. They are the cutest little chicks too! Love Chris
Love to see the new additions each year, we have a couple high up in the gum trees. Can always hear them every morning, but only see them as they fly away. Sandra.
They wake us up at 5.00am (which is really 4.00 because of daylight saving time!!!!!!!!!!!) Love Chris
Love when you post these little babies. Hopefully you get some pictures when they start to fly. Hugs and Love Lynn
Thanks Lynn, you have to be right there when that happens and they don't get too far as the trees in the back reserve are a good 50-60 metres away and for the young chicks it's a long way at their age. Love Chris
Oh Chris its always lovely to see these pictures. Hopefully there are more in the family and you will be able to see them starting to fly
Hi Caroline, I think there are 4 chicks in there, but am not positively sure. I just happened to see this one this morning. They all look the same to me!!! Love Chris
