I went into the fabric shop today that was closest to me before I moved. There is always a great selection of super fabric and goodies. On chatting with the owner I was left lost for words when she told me that in under a year the cancer she had has returned. Last year during her treatment there was a small group who ran the shop for her. This time she says that she will carry on as long as her treatment allows but she is putting the shop up for sale. I wish her all the very best and know what a fighter she is. There are many here who pray for others while I am one of those who gives positive thoughts. Whatever category you are in please think of Jane in your way. Thanks

So sorry to read this Caroline. Hope her treatment can conquer the cancer and she has still supporters who help her with the shop.

Bettina how lovely to hear from you. Jane has said that for her health long term the shop has to go. She had built it up from start and was so successful that she was able to rent larger premises and expand. I have bought some great stuff from her over the years.

My dealer sold their shop. The new owner is keeping the old employees, but who knows for how long. I just hope they keep the tech guy as he has saved me so many times. Kay

Jane is a one person shop, so there is no one to help. I hope the new shop owners keep the staff and tec guy for their customers

Such sad news to hear. A very similar thing has happened to our Quilt store combination Janome dealer. She just couldn't manage the shop and pay wages for every minute it was open. Couldn't get a buyer so had to just close the doors.
Seems everyone you talk to has a sad story to tell these days. Makes you appreciate what you have as there is always someone worse off than you.

Terrible to get that news so soon after completing the last round, either it is a very aggressive cancer or a small spot was missed during the first round when trying to check scans throughout her body. Even a tiny bit hidden somewhere that the scans missed can come back quickly , Hope and prayers that they will be able to get it wiped out and that friends and family will be able to help and support her through this next phase of treatments. And that all her friends and loved ones will be comforted and strengthened to help keep their spirits from becoming depressed. Prayers for all to continually be uplifted. Pam

Praying for Jane and all those that can help her with this battle. May she be blessed with strength. It is good that she is a fighter.
My grandmother was a fighter and she won the battle 3 times in 20 years. When the fourth time came for the same cancer, she was still a bit tired from her last battle. She was in her early 90's. The cancer quickly metastasized. Six months later, my sweet grandmother was gone. I am grateful for the extended time we had with her. She was the "glue" in my mother's family.
