It's been raining here most of today- so what to do some sewing of course! Started the girl's Christmas dresses. This one is Jasana's (9) and I'll make the same for her sister Aqualina (6). Then for Ophelie and Delphi I'll use a fabric that had Merry Christmas on it instead of the spot. Lovely easy pattern for our hot summer days which are just around the corner. Pattern is Butterick 3477 (6,7,8). I'll make another style for Delphi ad inbound to get the pattern in the smaller sizes. Luv Chris

1. Pale red Christmas trees on main fabric which had an ecru backing.
2. Butterick pattern 3477.
3. The other fabric for Ophelie and Delphi - they will have the same Christmas tree fabric as the skirt and then the Merry Christmas fabric for the bodice.

Delightful dresses, though like a number of others summer dresses and Christmas is an unusual combination.

Sue, I have not had a Christmas in Northern hemisphere for about 50 years and it still does not feel like Christmas when it is hot.

Thanks Sue, we have never experienced a winter Christmas.. Maybe one day we'll get to enjoy a cold Christmas. Luv Chris

Very nice design. Looks like Summer. I had some of the Merry Christmas word fabric given to me as the print ran crooked on the fabric. Better check yours to see if it is straight as it will show up if used for the bodice or bottom. Mine was out by about an inch or so. Didn't matter with my project I could cut it crooked so it look straight when finished.

I had the same problem with this fabric so have only used it for projects where it isn't so obvious
