A while ago I showed some crazy quilt blocks I was making in an attempt to reduce my fabric stash. When I had made all blocks I still could not close my fabric boxes so I made it reversible. I now just manage to get the lids on my boxes. Each square has an embroidery piece on it and all flowers have a novelty button sewn on it. I play I spy with my grandchildren when they stay over for the night.

I think that making a crazy patchwork item makes the stash grow!!
I made a bag out of red & white only fabrics some years ago. By the time I had finished it there was so much red & white fabric piled up that I could have made another 3 or 4 bags. And I did not buy anything but a new sewing machine in the middle of it.
That quilt is gorgeous. Great idea and well done. Would love to be one of your grands, any day. :-)

Oh my goodness. And I thought I had a lot of scraps. Great way to put them to use. Were the quilt blocks machine appliqued or sewn manually?

This is great! It will probably be something the grands fight over when it comes time to "divvy up" grandmother's things. LOL Beautiful work!!

I've been contemplating doing one of these for years. By now, I probably need to do a dozen. Yours turned out so nicely and I love the "I Spy" concept. Just wish I had some grands. Well done and thanks for the inspiration.

I have spent the week photographing my scraps and labeling the boxes so I know which has what when I hunt it. Know that sounds crazy...Now to be creative like you. ;-)

How creative is that !!! A very beautiful "one off" and a "see and learn" time with your grands. This surely will be remembered as they grow older and look back on their childhood. Thank you for sharing.....Ann

How lovely. I have so many things that run through my head and not do them. Guess I am a thinker and not a do-er most of the time. I love that I can see all these finished projects.
