I never learned this skill. Wish we had if in our schools.
Very nice !!! My mother made these many yrs ago. She does not speak or read English, she counted and copied the stitches. That is how I learned also but we used very fine DMC thread. One Christmas everyone got crochet hankies from me. I learned to read the instructions when I was in 10th grade from a friends mother.
Very unique design. Wonderful idea for the open part on the basket for the wash cloth or whatever extra gift you want to include. Wonderful job getting it attached to the towel.
Wonderful idea. Love the color from the thread and the design. Great work.
beautiful and so good that you can do it from memory
I'm sure your friend is going to love it. Hugs Yvonne x
Beautifully done....I am sure it will be enjoyed!
I also have never seen anything like this. Great job Carolyn. I'm sure she will love her gifts. Keep up the good work. :)
Wow I have not seen anything like this before either. Looks like it took ages
Oh wow, overall it is totally beautiful. Great idea, colours & work.
First, its amazing you remembered after that long ago!-lol- Just kidding you, friend. This is totally different, from anything I've seen on towels and looks like its open and a goody inside! The color reminds me of a doily my mom had. Good work!
I love it, you learned well in grade 5. How long does it take to make this?
Bev, didn't you know? She's been at it since fifth grade, just she stopped to do all the embroidery, she ever put on Cute! -lol-I am shamefully, in a teasing mood.
Knowing Carolyn, she could do it in her sleep. The Cutie's a workaholic!
Totally amazing! The edges are crochet into the towel. Excellent!
This is gorgeous, Carolyn, how is it attached to the towel?
So delicate Carolyn and it makes a great addition to the towel. Love Chris
