Nice gifts! nice work too!! You always do such wonderful things!
Nice take home gift. I marvel how you work so hard each year to make this special for your select friends and I know they love you for it!! I wish I could be in the group. Kay
Thanks so much Kay, you are all welcome to come along he he he! It would be a great get together wouldn't it? Love Chris
they look gr8 Chris! Hope it is an easy fix for your Brother too ~hugs~
These are so pretty and functional, Chris.....hate that you had a machine break down though......always happens at the most inconvenient times....
Thanks so much Vicki, yes, it is inconvenient, but I am so glad that I have the Husqvarna to sew with if needed whilst the Brother will be away being seen to. Love Chris
Chris, I adore these. These I think they would sell wonderfully at our homemaker auction. So clever of Trevor to find another use for them---wonderful Cutie to digitize for you also. Speaking of Husqvarna's--I've had my original #1+ since the latter 1990's--always serviced myself in that I take the bobbin area apart and clean thoroughly. 'Knock On Wood' haven't had any problems out of it or the Reader/Writer. I did have to replace the Dongle for the software as it sat a year without me using it and somehow had gone bad. Can't even replace that now if it should happen again. Dealer doesn't even want to deal with old stuff anymore even if it works.
Thanks so much and yes, that is a problem with newer and newer software on our embroidery machines isn't it? They don't want to deal with the 'old' versions. I do still love the Husqvarnas though and of course Maarten is a whiz! Love Chris
Until I had read to the end I thought that the black line was to indicate something... Lovely work and like Pauline I'm amazed each year at your organisation, Christmas is still too far off for me to think about.
Thanks Caroline, yes, it was the shadow of the partition between our back glass balustrade on our back deck. The sun was going down and it cast that large shadow. Love Chris
Beautiful job on these Chris...your ladies will be very happy to receive these~and great inspiration from Trevor to make the connection to a cell phone holder...glad you got the turning of them figured out!
Thanks so much Kim, yes, I was surprised at Trevor's foresight! I persevered with my hands and a large pair of tweezers. I will have to buy myself a Haemostat! Love Chris
These are nice Chris. Would you believe I do not have a single one of these. Pot holders galore, yes, but not a Handel cover. Do not have a single pot I could use one on. No handles that get hot/Lillian
Yes, I would believe it, they are mostly decorative. Meg made me a couple and I have them on my largest frying pan on my stove top all the time. I love the look of them. Love Chris
Very nice work Chris ****You will bring many many smiles when useing these ****hugs
Very nice addition to the gifts you make. I came up with a perfect size pattern for cast iron pans and now I can't find it. These golden years are the pits. Love these.
Thanks so much Lily, yes, sometimes, it's hard to remember where you put things. Love Chris
These are beautiful and so useful. How great that they fit the pans and a cell phone. Love the band at the top and the fact they were all in the hoop. Great work.
Thank you so much yes, they are great to have as either and they are so easy to make. Love Chris
just lovely Chris and multi purpose, great job as always
hugs
Michelle
These are fabulous - and so useful, too. Have been wanting to make a few for myself, to use with my cast iron skillet, but haven't yet got around to doing it.
Are these done all ITH, or a combination of both ITH and machine sewing? Thx.
Yes laffma they are all made in the hoop. You do the front first and then the back and the last step is where you place the front onto the back. Love Chris
Wonderful idea and wonderful gifts for your ladies. They will love them.
Hugs, Angelika
Delightful as all your projects are Chris. The ladies of downunderland will be as delighted as they have been in past years. You have exceeded yourself with the photographic error this time around...................you always manage to introduce some little quirk...................still it's an embroidery/crafting site..............not photographic....................so you are forgiven. Only joking Chris. Your work is wonderful.
Hi there 'me pommie mate'. Such high praise from you - I'm blushing!!!! I do try very hard to come up with something useful! Love Chris
Wow, love them! Your friends will be thrilled.
I had my Husqvarna for almost 7 years and this is the first time that it gets serviced, so I can't complain much if I have to wait a few more days...
Hugs, Lidia
Thanks so much Lidia and that's wonderful about your Husqvarna. I've had so many things replaced with mine, a new motherboard, a new motor, a new screen etc. etc. etc. I have it serviced every 6 months as it gets used so much. I'm glad I have 2 machines as one can be used whilst the other one is being serviced. I'm going to take it tomorrow after I collect Delphi from home. We have her every Monday - Trevor looks after her whilst I go to Italian lessons and I come home just after mid-day so I'll take the Brother to Zig Zag and leave it there and then go and collect Ophelie from school around 3.25pm. Love Chris
