Good morning Cuties! I want to ask you if any of you are collecting the San Francisco Stitch Summer Road trip designs? (boy that's a mouthful, even for me-lol)
Well mind you, I have nothing, notta, thing to do with the designs or SFS, but these designs are coinciding with a road trip I am planning to take, in a few months, if my health is okay.I am anxious to see the next designs!!!
We are planning to go through at least 13 of our states.
Maine, New Hampshire, Massachusetts, New York, Pennsylvania, Maryland, Virginia, West Virginia, Tennessee, Georgia, Alabama, Mississippi and Louisiana!
I have always had this on my mind's 'bucket list' and now the opportunity has arisen, I hope & pray, I am able to go, as I may not get another chance.

I haven't been collecting the designs but your road trip will be fantastic. I go through many of the states you are mentioning once a year. We need to keep praying for you to be healthy enough to go.

Thank you so much Karen, as I know this may be my last chance. Fortunate you, to go every year. My SIL married a man in Air Force from Washington,DC. They traveled once a year up to his moms, (with 6 kids too!) until she died... I hope the rest of the designs are places we will go! The one I did stitch came out great.

I am collecting them...although I have not stitched them out...we went across Canada last year from West to East coasts and then down the Eastern Seaboard of the US...great trip...you will have a ball! Lots to see and do and all of the states have amazing sights!

WOW! You've had a trip for sure, coming from your place! I've stitched the Bar Harbor design on a tote (came out beautiful), although we won't be going quite that far, just up to Portland.

Don't know anything about these designs Mrs Toogie but if there is even the remotest chance of you making this "bucket list" trip then you must grasp that route map and just go. I promise you that I have fallen for the mistake of "..............yes, perhaps I will do that next year" and found myself now unable to make even the shortest journeys. Grasp the nettle and get organising and have a lovely time both in the planning and in the doing.

Dennis I am so sorry you are unable anymore, to go the places you would like to.That's why I feel I need to go now. The time of the year we plan to go, is usually the time of year my health interferes or 'something' happens, but maybe this year will be different. Thank you Dennis for your support. I think we will be cutting just through the northwest corner of Georgia. My Army gal/friend is about an hour north/northeast of Atlanta, Royston or Gainesville.

On one of our trips through Canada and Alaska one of the ladies on board the train waved to her friend standing on the side of the road with her family in a very remote area, they hadn't seen each other for over 20 years due to ill health. I was able to catch some photos on my camera for her. It was a very happy moment. So toggie you may be able to line up the cuties and wave to them and start a new craze. I hope you will be able to make new memories on your wonderful trip.

You make is sound so memorable, for sure, and I haven't left!-lol-They were so close, it's a pity they couldn't touch, visit, etc. That would be something now if Cuties lined up all the way! That would take a lot of Cuties for sure!!!!

What an exciting trip for you, now in your retirement years you shall fully enjoy your planned trip. You both deserve to take this trip, and i am sure your health will hold out. Go ahead enjoy yourselves, as you always do so much for others. We have been fortunate to have had two holidays in America and loved every minute of it, we have been to only some of these states you mention. Hope to travel back there some time from Australia it is a long way. Sandra.

Yes, Sandra it is a long way! Hubby isn't going, I will be with a niece. She does these trips to different places all over the states, all the time. I just jokingly asked where to next, when she got back from one. When she told me the east coast, through the Blue Ridge Parkway I said I'd love to go, always wanted to go in the fall up to Vermont/NH/Maine. Well, she said 'Come on, signing you up!'-lol

What fun this trip will be. If you come through Richmond, VA let me know I will be there to cheer you on. Would love to meet you or just wave as you go by. Or any where East of Richmond. I will keep you in my prayers to stay well so you can enjoy you trip.

I would love to meet you too Kathy. I will get a more detailed itinerary in a week or two, but not sure if we stop around Richmond or not. I will let you know though if we are going close. Wouldn't that be a trip!

Will do! I did have a planner, my husband's niece-in-law!-lol She does tours. Hubby's nephew used to have their own tour buses, now she works for a tour bus company.

Went to NC a few years ago when we went to the Smokey Mountains. Loved Milo Falls, beautiful, as was the sights from Clingman's Dome. We did hikes to waterfalls and even came upon a bear. The park Rangers were with us and thankfully the bear didn't get too close to us, nor we to him.-lol

You'll want to check out her last road trip series as there's a great Boston design, NY Statue of Liberty and Nashville TN design - you could have a commemorative quilt or couple of table runners :-) Fall in New England should be gorgeous - Enjoy!!! I do have that trip designs as well. I was looking at the Boston one.Not sure if we will actually do Boston, but we are going to Massachusetts. Going to Chattanooga, not Nashville, but have been to Nashville, before.Gonna ride the Lookout Mountain Incline Railway.

I live in one of the states you are going to and right next to a few others.... hehe These are lovely and friendly places down here in the South.... Have a safe trip and enjoy yourself. :)

You go girl! Hope your trip is happily memorable. I'm collecting, but I got last years and am not even half way through with them yet. They do stitch out nicely though. WV is my home state, but I'm in Texas for now.

Still a southern girl, uh?-lol I haven't been up as far as Maine before, so I hope I don't miss this opportunity to go. I've always wanted to go in the fall, when the leaves change (hubby says they change here too-lol) and it will be cooler than summer too. I do hope it won't be cold though.
