Thanks to all for your wonderful birthday greetings. We spent the day with DH waiting out a kidney stone, so not your typical celebratory day. I did get a piece of carrot cake and gifts that were hand-picked for me - Miracle Gro and brownies! My daylilies will thrive. Hips, too.

Did he have Lithotripsy, or pass it on his own? Either way is no fun. My neighbors Daylilies have been looking bad because they moved away and haven't watered them . Noticed with last nights rain they have now perked up/Lillian

I agree the day could have been better, but Miracle Gro and carrot cake go a long way to making it better. You can have my share of the brownies. And now, when your hubby feels better, the two of you can celebrate in style.

Oh no, that is not the way one would want to celebrate ones birthday. Hope DH is OK. From what I understand that it is rather painful. Are you sure the gifts were for you? I think the day lilies should say thank you.
