Well here's another one of my forgetting to click on submit. Commented a day ago but it isn't there. Sarah I'm so proud for him. He is marvelous. Love the picture and that face and grin says it all. He is going to do famously. So glad you posted this/Lillian
Wow! What a brave young lad. So good to see a smile.
I'm happy that the surgery went fine and to see such a speed recovery !
Lord, bless this sweet child and thank you for the joy on his face.
obviously the pain relief is working! He will have a bit of a different road to travel, but looks happy and up to the challenge.
I knew as soon as I saw the pic. I missed your posts yesterday. God Bless! It is so good to see his smile. I am sure this handicap will be better than pain disability. Best wishes to all of you!
LOVE the smiles! Joshua's smile and bright eyes says just how relieved he is that the infection and damaged part of the leg is off so that his body can heal and go on. The struggles had been taking a toll on him and especially his mum as her face is filled with pride of her brave boy and sheer joy that he may have lost part of his leg but she still has him and she will not let go. They will all get through this together. Jared's face to me looks a bit worried and concerned about his brother. Joshua's big smile will be helping them all to heal from this difficult 4 years. You can see even with Joshua's relaxed hand over his brothers shoulder that he is reassuring him that he is OK. Already talking with the prosthesis guy is fantastic and it won't be long that the arm crutch or the prosthesis will become second nature. His past 4 years of struggling with the injury and infection shows that there are far worse things in life, than loosing part of a limb. He will live a happy full filled life going forward. You see the up beat attitude and courage he has had facing all that he has been through. What an inspiration they are! Thank You for sharing them all with us. Pam
Pam, such beautiful words. I myself feel as if a ton weight has been lifted off my shoulders. Everything you have written is true
He is going through what they threatened me with. We stood firm and I have 2 legs to stand on. But I often wonder if life would have been better if they had amputated. You go Joshua, you are young and will stand the test of time (bad pun) with a smile on your face.
I am pleased that you kept your leg and I Wish that Josh could have done the same but the infections were getting worse and worse. The leg and foot were so damaged
I had 23 operations over 5 years. Then right knee, right hip and left hip. The left ankle was fused back in the 90's and it is catywampus (sp). But we persevere and I know Joshua will come through with flying colors. Please tell him he is in my prayers.
Absolutely amazing! I hope he can recover quickly now.
Wow, you can see the relief on all their faces that Joshua is now on his way to a healthy life.......terrific pic.....
With today's technology he will be walking real soon. His upbeat attitude is his greatest asset Love that smile.
Prayers for him and the family will continue.
