Finally, finish this quilt for my niece, she got a new bedroom when her elder sister moved out. I did not use any batting, just made the quilt top and quilted it on a polar fleece blanket, feels so cozy at the back. Thank you for looking. Mary

Thank you, believe me, it was just the printed fabrics that made it look the way it did. My wanting to use up my fabrics in storage forces me to be creative? Glad you liked it. Hugs, Mary

It looks like a painting! I have dizzys too bad to piece something like this but you accomplished an amazing quilt. I think I would have to hang it instead of using......but then I wouldn't be able to walk by it-lol-I do love it though!

Thank you Toogie, I am so greatful that you took time to comment on my quilt. This is a very easy quilt, but the fabrics made the design look the way it did. Usually, solid fabrcs are used for this design, trip around the world, just strip piecing and cutting and sewing, My niece and SIL loved it. Hugs, mary

I think this fabric choice, jazzes up the traditional way, of Trip Around the World. Like I said, it looks like a watercolor painting, beautiful!

That is stunning. I would think a bit trickier to stitch it onto Polar fleece than using batting. Well done.

It is a bit tricky when you are putting the quilt on top of the fleece, but then, once I had the pins all over, I just quilted it straight on each row. Nothing fancy. Instead of a binding, I sewed a facing and turned it to the back and hand stitched it. Thank you for taking time to make your comment. Hugs, Mary

Thank you. Batting is just too expensive for me and I find polar fleece much more cozy to wrap around you during the cool evenings. Hugs,
