Newborn gown with burp cloth. The dog was resized smaller and reversed for the gown and then larger, for the burp. I am sorry to say I didn't know how to file designs when I got this, and it was free too, when I first started saving designs. It stitched very well both times, as I hope you are able to see. (Also I'm sorry, I haven't washed the WSS out of the diaper burp.)

I made the gown from nice white batiste, with a ribbon drawstring in hem. The 3 little buttons, neck binding, dogs, and burp trim are all baby blue.I may change the ribbon out for blue, I'm not sure, as I haven't secured it at the opposite side seam yet. Hope you like them, they are for my grandson.-Toogie

I think this is a delightful set. The little dog and choice of fabric, colour and design give it a vintage feel.

Love these Toogie. These are the kind of gowns I used on all my girls. Made them from soft knit and all had the draw strings. The sleeves were long and the knit washed and wore for a long long time.

What a brilliant idea with the drawstring gown. I've never seen one of these before. Gus will be the best dressed newborn ever! I love everything you have done for this new baby. Can't wait to meet him as I'm sure you do. Love all your work, love Chris

Mary I'm glad you like my sewing and if you think you can't, you can really, its not all that hard. If you were close to me, I'd take you under my wing, so to speak. I do appreciate your comments and support, really I do.

How I would love to meet you and learn sewing from you. Someday, if I am going to the US, I will let you all know, and if I am anywhere near you, would love to get to meet you. Yes, I know, you have 50 States in the US. Am sure cuties are everywhere.

Really, you never have? I love babies in these. I have plenty photos, but I think it is far for you to come get a cup of coffee and just look-lol

Hello Toogie,
Unfortunately, the distance is too large, otherwise, I would like to come:-)

Toogie--I love this. Little Gus will be so adorable wearing this and spitting up on that. A person not in to laces could also use the little gown for a christening gown.

Ah, you remembered my daughter's friend, no laces for her! Hopefully, Gus won't be too bad with spitting up...I did think of dedication and ALMOST put a cross, but I have more white if I need to make something. This may not fit at the time. It's usually around Mother's Day, I think. Thanks for looking!

So sweet for little Gus. Baby items can be challenging with their tiny bits, and my fingers don't always work that well. You did a terrific job with this gown. I like that you added the ribbon closure at the bottom too. Your daughter will love this coordinated set.

My Sep Granddaughter is expecting their first baby (Boy) early June. I would love to make one of these for her but I am not good at this type of sewing.

It's just like any other sewing, just a lot smaller. I'm sure you can do it. The only hand work was the neck binding. Good luck and congrats on a new baby coming!
