Just read this, Chris - sounds as though, you are doing quite well!!! Take it easy, do what the doctor's tell you (I bet you have heard that a few times!!). So happy your pay is not too bad! You will be back to normal soon - probably doing too much too soon! Praise God for whom all Blessing Flow! Prayers and hugs, Laura*
Hi Laura, I'm taking it easy. Slept most of this afternoon as I'm now home. It's Friday evening 11th March as I write this and it's hot! Been unbearably humid here in Newcastle this past couple of weeks. We desperately need some rain. thanks for the prayers. Love Chris
Glad to heard the operation went well. Praying you have a very pain free and speedy recovery. Love and Hugs Lynn
Thanks Lynn, just on some medication to help alleviate the pain, so I'm getting there slowly. Thanks for the prayers, love Chris
Hi Chris, we are so glad that your operation went well, and wish you a speedy recovery. Sending you our Love Lorraine and Keith. xxxxx
So glad to hear you came through with minimal pain, and you are doing quite well. Well wishes are being sent your way for a speedy recovery. Juanita
Thanks so much Juanita. I know I've had lots of prayers being said, and thanks for your well wishes too. Love Chris
Such happy news! Many prayers are continuing from around the world, for your poor back side, and all of your other body parts for that matter too. ;) Won't be long that you are down in bed but if it is too long or difficult with the lap top in bed, then to type more easily laying down, they make lap top cooling trays that adjust the angle of the lap top and give the underside of the lap top air flow so to prevent over heating, but using one of these trays is how I always use my lap top as all my posts are from laying in the bed, they are at all the computer stores from as low as $10-$15. But hoping that now that the bursa has been removed, that within just a few days you are not going to need to be laying in a bed to use your lap top. But if the only issue that you are having is making capitol letters, then hopefully you won't bother, as we are all able to understand your message just fine. (((Huge Hugs))) and keep healing and following your doctors orders! and I am still getting a smile each time I think of you in your hospital gown, dancing down the hospital halls with your IV pole and your hospital gown blowing in the breeze . Yes, I know you did not do that but this was the visual I had of you after reading heleninca's comment for you not to be dancing in the halls. Hope it gives you a smile too! Pam
Yes, Pam it did. There is no privacy when you are in hospital and I've been in a few times not to even worry about that state of affairs anymore. I always think of the movie with Jack Nicholson when he was walking away from Dianne Keaton and his backside was showing at the back of his gown. There are a lot of those gowns here at the moment. Quite a lot of surgery has been done over the past 2 days. I'm going home on Friday with some pain relief and a couple scripts which will help to alleviate the pain in the bursa area. I don't have that horrible nerve pain anymore, so it's just a matter of my upper inside thigh where the bursa was removed to heal. I imagine I'll be back in a few days to have the stitches removed. Then it will be house arrest! I've got some sewing projects to do, but again it will depend on how comfortable I'll feel at the sewing machine. Thanks for all your love, prayers and concerns. Love Chris
I am happy to hear all went well! Hoping for a speedy recovery, and come home soon. Hugs.
Thanks Maria, me too. I will certainly try my best to have a speedy recovery. Love Chris
wonderful news Chris. keep up the great recovery ~hugs& Prayers~
Glad to hear the pain has eased some, still praying and thinking of you, and yes it is very hot here at the moment I just checked the weather for the next 10 days still looking at 30 or above, take care of yourself.
Thanks Liliana, I'm not looking forward to coming home to this heat. I will be inside with the air con on I'm sure. Love Chris
What good news. I'm so happy you are having a good outcome. I have prayed for you and your recovery and that you do not have any bad after effects from any of this. Much love and hugs!
Thanks so much Jerrilyn, I'm happy too. I just want to get back to my normal life now. Love Chris
So glad all went so well!! You'll be up & running full speed soon!
Hi Gerry, I certainly hope I'll be back to full speed soon. I think it might be a few weeks at least before I can drive though. I don't mind that as my shopping centre is close by and I can walk there. Love Chris
So glad to hear you are doing so well after all this. Now I hope this pain from the nerve is gone and you'll be tip top at long last.
Thanks so much Patti, me too. Once the nerve pain had gone I couldn't believe the relief I got. Love Chris
Glad all went well & you're feeling good. You'll feel better still when you get into your own bed.
Irene
Hi Irene, yes, that's true. I've been sleeping a lot upstairs on the couch in the loungeroom over the past few weeks cause I was in so much pain and had to get up all the time to take pain relief. Can't wait to get back to my bed now though. Love Ch
Sending you a great big hug Chris. I have been following your story here over the last few weeks, so I am pleased to hear that things have worked out for you. Now the only way is UP. Good Luck, hugs Marg
Thanks Marg, yes, it's been a long time coming and I cannot wait to get back to my normal life. Thanks for the hugs. Love Chris
Thanks for the update. Great to hear you are doing so well. I hate those blow up leg things. I had to have them on all night when I had my last op. They took them off hubby just after he came out of recovery. Different hospitals, different ideas I guess. I will keep you in my prayers. Hugs Shirley
Yes Shirley they are annoying. I only had mine on for about 8 hours and as I was sweating so much they removed them. I don't even have on the socks anymore! They are all amazed at how well I am, I'm not. I know all the prayers from everyone on here as helped me come through this so well. Love Chris
I really hope this works for you Chris. Time for things to change, for the better, and get on with 'living'.
So true Toogie and I know with what surgery I've already had that I'll be on the road to recovery really soon. Love Chris
Chris, I'm glad that you are doing well... and hope recovery is quick. Hugs from me... Sharon
So happy things are going so well. God Bless you and wishing you a speedy recovery.
So glad to hear that you are recovering and the worst is over!
Hugs, Nadyne
Hi Chris,
I look forward to hearing that you're on the road of to recovery. All good wishes from me.
Hugs, Angelika
Hi Angelika, yes, I'm on the road to recovery. Walking well and am sitting semi comfortably. It won't be long before I'm completely well. I know I will get there especially with all th love and prayers from you guys. Love Chris
Thankful for the good news. The appendages will soon be gone and that helps with the recovery. Be good - no dancing down the halls.
OK had to have a laugh as I pictured Chris dancing down the halls with her blue gown flapping in the breeze-Dancing with her IV pole through the hospital corridors LOL - Oh shame on me for the thought, though that may help other patients have a laugh through their hospital stay.
You are not half wrong there Pam, I had all my backside exposed when lying on the hospital bed waiting to go into surgery. I didn't care as they've seen it all before, although mine might be a bit more developed than some he he he! Love Chris
Yes Helen, I've got rid of all the attachments and I'm walking freely. So much better than I thought. Love Chris
H iChris I have been off i line or a few days and did not know abuot your condition ...not much fun i am sure... hope you are on the mend..........soozie
Hi Soozie, I hope it's beautiful up there in Port Macquarie. It's been a bit hot I believe down here, but of course being in hospital I'm not aware of outside conditions. It's very sterile in here, but doesn't smell like a hospital. I'm on the mend and can walk comfortably. Sitting isn't too bad, but I'm still a bit sore, so am taking it really easy. Love Chris
What great news Chris. You must be pleased that it is all over.
Thanks Sarah, certainly am. Two nurses I just walked past can't get over the difference since I came in last Friday! I'm so pleased this phase is over. Love Chris
Good morning Chris,
I'm so glad to hear you are doing well. Now, rest and take care of you.
Bis hugs for your day

Hi Terri, thanks for writing. Meg is doing o.k. has a lot of health issues but she's a trooper - can't wait to see her later today. When are you coming back from China? It's been a while!!! Love Chris
