QUESTION!!!!Has anyone ever been sewing on your sewing machine and as you were sewing it started to slow down??You push the peddle harder and it just stops???Won't move***You try to turn the fly wheel and it barely moves or turns???

If this has happened to you .Then your sewing machine just ran dry***It needs a large drink of oil.
Well mine did this again this after noon(fixer says it cause i over use it)Can you believe that???
Anyways I take the bottom 4 screws out take side plate off and oil everything that moves.I couldn't turn it as my arm is too weak so hubby came to my rescue as soon as the wheel turn free again turn it around and around till all the stiffness is gone ****Then You Put it back together and start sewing .
Just had to tell someone Hugs Carolyn

Never had this to happen but I did have to fix my feed dogs one time--like you said--took a plate off at back of machine, cleaned and oiled everything and they've worked fine now for a few years. That was on my old Kenmore that I got in the 80's and still use it most of the time for general sewing. We can be brilliant sometimes.

I once had the problem where I couldn't hit the "top speed". Turned out to be the foot pedal had a worn-out part in it, and was able to be fixed with a replacement part [thankfully]

I turned mine on last week, the lights were on but now one was home so to speak so wasn't sure what went wrong the motor or the foot pedal nothing happened. Luckily it was a broken wire in the pedal cord but was told can't get these pedals anymore and Dave used the last of his wire to fix it. I was congratulated on how clean and well oiled she was.

I had something similar happen years ago and it was the electrical cord that went into the foot pedal had been knocked and was loose and coming out and in. Took me ages to work that one out.
Glad you are up and running again.
