Just a little something I did for my daughter a couple mins. ago to say thanks for all you do. Nail file holder, used Grosgrain Ribbon 1 & 1/2 Inches wide. Length depends on Nail File this file was 7 in. so made holder 7 and a half". Ribbon was 17 and a half inches long. Not much I know but only takes a few mins to make and usually is appreciated by young and old alike. Quick little gift to give for appreciation Lillian

I love these! Hate stuff sticking to the file in my purse! You can get a pack of different sizes at Dollar tree.

I really do like those Dollar Tree had 2 in the pack for $1.00, they are large and easy for arthritic hands to hold on to. Thanks

I line up my emery board with my pick-out stick, my embroidery scissors, and my wooden turner at the machine I use them so much. Use the wooden turner instead of my fingers if working with something touchy on the machine and near the great big needle structure, such as topping that's flipping up or fabric trying to pucker. Love the polka dots and font, classy and cheery! I'm going to look in my ribbon supply!

I love this! I've done several designs on ribbons, but never thought to make a nail file cover as you have. This is a cute gift that is usable. Thanks for telling us how you did it.

What a great gift you made. I love it for myself since I loose nail files. Thank you for the directions. Was it hard to embroider on the ribbon? Any special tricks for that?

I used a 4x4 hoop , med. tear away mark where I want to place font, hoop the ribbon with the tear away. I then machine baste the ribbon on each side to the tear away on my reg sewing machine yes I put hoop and all under presser ft to baste, then take to emb, machine and do the embroidery. After emb remove from hoop snip basting thread and tear off or cut around the tear away if you want . you'll turn the back - 1&1/2 or 2 inches then bring up front so it's about1-1&1/2 inches of top, remember to turn about an inch of front inside then sew together all the way around. Written down it sounds complicated but it can all be done in less that 15 mins. - including the font. You can pretty much look at the picture and do it. Just meas your . file in the ribbon and go from there. A smaller file will use less ribbon or less width/Lillian
