2342534443This is always a quandary for me. I was stitching on a sweatshirt before Christmas and was disappointed as the design stitched out to see how crooked I had hooped it. After complete, I saw that the shirt was quite unbalanced - one shoulder appeared much wider and there was no hooping it right. Oh well. When it's stripes like this, I can't decide between centering on the towel or the stripes. What does everyone else think?

Where stripes & checks are concerned,I'll will be taking more notice & probably center the design in the middle of the stripe or check if it is a open design like this owl because it is sticks out like a sore thumb to me.
I always notice things which are off center.In this case 1/16th inch
