Update on my sons "simple" back procedure. This is his 3rd back operation since March 18. It was to take place n the Dr's office as an outpatient. But, infection was worse than expected and had to be ambulanced to the hospital to start IV antibiotics. He thought he was going back to work the next day.. WRONG!! He is off for 6 weeks and has a PICC line in for IV at home... Please say a prayer for him. Greatly appreciated. Thank you.

First of all, I wouldn't think any back procedure would be 'simple'. Bless him , to be going through back problems so long. My husband had/ has back troubles. When he first hurt it, was bad for a long time. Now, he takes precautions, as he has some disc completely gone.i have arthritis in mine with ostoperosis , no fun either.
Prayers are what will help him through so of course, we will. Also pray he doesn't get depressed being inactive so long ,pray he has a job to go back too, when this is over for him. Pray the infection clears up and pain is bearable, if not completely gone. Really feel compassion for him, as the patient, and you as the mom who worries and loves him dearly.

I am so sorry to hear his back issues are not yet resolved. I pray for his complete recovery.

I am agreeing with jrob in prayer.

Could be a blessing in disguise as the infection may have been there longer than thought and interferred with his healing. Prayers that this is the answer.

My heart goes out to you all. I'm so sorry this complication reared its ugly head. He is on my prayer list so will have many prayers. Keep us informed
