I am thinking I might make a bag with my blue block & maybe use this as the other half..........what do you think even though the other is out of muslin & this is a heavier cotton do you think they would go well together or not? I really like the Believe since it can be for anything & not just Santa lol

This is only my opinion, i would make two separate items. Believe would look great on its own on a bag. You will find a project for each one i am sure. Sandra.

I'm thinking it would be too gentle a fabric with the muslin (I'm like Barbara our Muslin is almost see through fabric, like cheesecloth over here in Australia). I'm sure whatever you end up doing it will look fabulous. Love Chris

Is your Muslin like our Calico? Or is it really thin like Cheese cloth? Could you turn your pretty design into a pocket (double thickness) for your Believe fabric.? Sorry more questions than answers for you.

we have different thread counts for our muslin, you can get very thin or med or heavier muslin. It is often used to back quilts because it is an economical choice.

I would use this as the front of a bag but I would not put it with the other fabric

oh I was thinking of attaching the muslin pc kind of with a fringe on it to the other side to make this a bag. You don't think this is a good idea? Can you explain why not this fabric is it too dark? or too heavy?

pldc by pldc 01 Dec 2015

maybe this design is too fancy for the believe signs?

asterixsew by asterixsew 01 Dec 2015

The muslin I am used to is delicate and this design is on stronger fabric. A bag gets lots of wear and a thin delicate fabric is not suitable.

ah a very good point thanks Caroline

I don't think that I would put the two together but that is just me. I would use the other design for one of the projects that was suggested and just use this one for a bag, Maybe add some patchwork to pick up the thread colors. But whatever you decide I'm sure it will be lovely.
