I have always wanted to make this story from embroidery library. Still not sure if I have to give it another outside border.

You have done an amazing job. Both for "sticking" with it until finished and for the beautiful work in each block. Do add a border to make it even more stunning. Again, well done. Something to be treasured for many, many years. Becky

Oh my! This is an undertaking. You have done a wonderful job! I am not a quilter so I will not offer advise as to finish it. I know that it will become an heirloom in your family. Kay

Luv this. I love your polka dot fabric but, I especially love the last block in the bottom right hand corner. What an accomplishment. I purchased these designs long ago too and never sewed them out. You have inspired me. I would add a red or green tiny Christmas print border about 5inches wide. I would only quilt a line around the block on the edge of the picture and one more down the polka dot seams.

That is stunning just so beautiful. I am not a quilter but think it needs a border right around the outside to show off your work properly.

One year of work and a result awesome. Congratulations!!! However I think, i would add a larger red (or an other color) border : so your Christmas blanket will have a better finishing touches. Thank you very much for sharing and amitiés de France.

Very nice job. I too would add another boarder. If you are still unsure lay fabric out and stand back and look at it. Thank you for sharing.
Happy Stitching :~)

LOVE IT, I love anything Christmassy. I'd have red or green as an extra border. As you have so many blocks with those colours in them. Well done, it will be an heirloom. Love Chris

Beautiful, but another border would look nice, good as is though. Have you thought of trying a red extra border?

So, so amazing. That was a lot of work and the result is awesome. I also think it does need a border. How long have you worked on this?

Oh gosh! That is a fantastic quilt! I'm glad to see those designs stitched out. Would you like to share more detailed information such as fabric, stablizer, etc?

I used calico and tear away stabiliser. Nothing special. Use the squares to make separate blocks and zigzagged them together. (I am not a great quilter and this works for me)Edges are cotton.

Thanks for the info! I'm going to have to get started on doing them too.

Your blocks stitched out very nicely. I agree with the others, it needs another border.

Wow you should be warm from the warmth of your machine as it is cooking along. Looks fabulous and I would also have to agree the extra border would frame it to perfection.
