embroidery projects Embroidery on shelf grip non slip mat. Idea from embroidery library design calla lily from Ls Liane stitch. Extremely happy with my attempt to embroider on this grip mat, not a good colour, but this was a trial and the only colour i had on hand. I shall certainly do some more on a pale background next time.I did not change any settings to normal embroidery. What i did do is use top coloured thread in the bobbin also. 1st picture is the front 2nd picture is the back. A dense design as advised from embroidery library video works best. Hope you like it, thank you for looking. Sandra

These are pretty... I never would have thought to embroider on that stuff. It looks almost as good on the back as the front, so wouldn't matter if it was downside up. Thank you for sharing... I love this section of the CUTE website.... I am always inspired! --Sharon

In the EBL video it looked like they used mats that were already pre-made for that purpose. Di you use the stuff that you can buy on a roll? It turned out very nice.

yes that's what I did

sandralane by sandralane 23 Aug 2015

Yes i did use pre cut for this as i already had the mat. But now i like it i shall buy some pale colours, i have seen some different finer textured patterns. The possibilities for designs are endless.

Toogie, thank you for your comments, I am pleased how it turned out. With the thread the same top and bottom i think enhances the embroidery.
