Whew, hi all

Crazy, crazy week, lawyers, agents, inspectors the whole lot and now finished with everything until signing next week. Still pinching myself and cannot believe we are leaving our home after 25 years. As the dust starts to settle, the emotional side kicks in and nostalgia tugs at the heart. It will be emotional next Saturday but we know we are going onto bigger and better things.

The phone just kept ringing this week, clients calling for baskets or towels etc. it was almost like they had an intution that I was moving (hadn't announced anything) and they were afraid they would not find me again lol.

So I worked frantically all week and finally finished embroidering yesterday that means the sewing room gets packed today. It is partially done but will take a good portion of my day to finish. Want to have everything boxed before Wednesday. Movers are here Saturday morning.

It is overwhelming looking at all that has been collected over the years. You askk yourself, ''do I really need all of this stuff'' and then end up putting it a box (especially the sewing stuff lol) to move.

So that is my update, will try to post my new projects this week and drop by to give flowers. Thank you again to all cuties for your continued support, know that you are all very appreciated by me.

hugs to all
Michelle (bring on the boxes lol)

Michelle,

Bisous
Michelle

Good Luck and have fun. I am stunned by the amount of fabric that I seem to have acquired over the years, almost enough to get certified as a mad fabric collector. Currently there is no where to hide the stuff as I have just moved too. Enjoy the move and remember the hassle and headache is well worth it.

I can join that club as well, enough to start my own fabric store but yet there always seems to be another piece I just have to have.

It will be so exciting to move. Yes you will have nostalgic moments but the expectation of a new adventure is great. Enjoy and hopefully you can show us some pictures of your new home.

Overwhelming is right!! Take it one day at a time and everything will get done. It will be sad to leave you old home of 25 years but exciting to go to the new one. Lots of work to move but in the end you will enjoy your paradise. Suzanne

You are right, I am guessing that next Saturday will be a very emotional day, my children will be here to ''say goodby to the house'' as my daughter told me. Once in the new house we will be celebrating a new beginning.

I'm so glad you were able to get all of the baskets and towels finished. You might have already done this, but I packed everything I could from each of the drawers of my sewing table into gallon Ziploc bags so I knew what belonged in each drawer. So easy to unpack this way. I wish I were close so I could help you pack up everything. I know you have many a story to tell. Don't hesitate to take everything. You can sort out what you really want and need when you unpack. Keep us informed on what you are doing.

I am not done with all my orders, will have several baskets to do once I am installed but the aren't needed until October so I should be fine.
Every box is color coded so easy to know exactly what room is goes into. Will have everything placed into the garage for starters until my sewing studio is complete. Will probably take more time to sort stuff once again we I reinstall as this move happened so fast (25 days to pack 25 hyears) I probably missed some stuff.

Thanks Jerrilyn
Organization is one of my strong point, (or so I am told) and let me tell you I could use a little breeze these days, it is so hot (high 30's to low 40's celius) and that makes menopausal women crazy. The humidity makes it hard for the tape to stick to the boxes.

I so envy the new home and the balcony view, but having moved so many times in the past (34 yrs at this spot), I think I would say "no, thanks" to an offer of the same--it would mean packing and moving AGAIN! But I will be enjoying your new home thru the updates you give us. You are handling the move so well!

Thanks,
I am more than ready for this new adventure, we are still pinching ourselves, this truly is our ''dream home''. I have named it our ''peaceful little harbor''.
Just 5 more days.

Just in case you need more boxes you can get whole bundles of them from a U-haul store quite reasonably, that is if you have one close enough to you. It use to be you could get all the fruit boxes you needed from various grocery stores but they have become hard to get a hold of in the last 10 years or so. Hope the rest of your move goes without any significant bumps in the road so to speak. Keep focusing on that balcony view you were mentioning and hope the move and settling in go smoothly. Pam

Got tons of boxes at the local liquor store (great for glasses and kitchen stuff) for free, my son moved in June so I asked him to keep all of his boxes and the rest we purchased so we are o.k.
Right now there are boxes everywhere, can't believe how much stuff we have.

Congratulations Michelle, I know what you are going through. We were very lucky though with BHP (now been divided into many different companies) always providing removalists who packed and then unpacked at our new homes. I hope your move goes really smoothly and that you can get organised as soon as possible. Love Chris
