OH is my face red!!!! A major faux pas on my part. I was busily monograming my DGD's new items to take to college this week ( 4 towels, 2 washclothes, 4 sheets and a blanket) and... I spilled my coffee all over my sewing table! Worse yet, it landed right on my washable solvy stabilizer!!!! It literally melted in front of my eyes. At least it missed the new items I was working on. What a laugh I had at my own expense.

I have also learnt the hard way. I once spilled tea all over my office keyboard. Drinks are now not allowed near my computer, sewing machines or my embroidery machine.

Thanks for the smile ;) Sometimes, lessons learned come at an expense but it is good when we are able to laugh about it. Sorry about your washable solvy stabilizer disappearing before your eyes but I guess it did exactly as it is designed to do! How sweet of you to make your college bound DGD some items to decorate the dorm or apartment.

So sorry for your stabilizer. Accidents happen. Glad your towels, sheets, and blanket were ok. The first time I bought water soluble, I carried it into the house when it was raining. It was a mess. At least your GD will love her gifts.

Don't feel alone. I had an insulated mat that you could iron on. I spilled GLUE on it-tried to wash it and it shrunk. I did salvage it. Cut it to fit another sewing table and sewed it back together, but I had to buy an replacement. An expensive senior moment.

So sorry to read about your mishap. What a great grandmother you are to do all those things for her for college. I know she will appreciate them so much. Love Chris

Sometimes the coffee is necessary! Sorry about the stabilizer. If we can't laugh at ourselves, life will be miserable!

Oh no.I am glad you can laugh about it. I haven't done anything like that but had not cleared the underside of my frame and embroidered things together. Sadly not only once. I guess I am a slow learner. HA, ha
Sweet of you to do all that for your granddaughter.
