I was in Pigeon Forge this past weekend (Thursday- Sunday). I wish I had known you were there.
A wonderful place to have a reunion. Wonderful that you had 24 couples. I bet it was grand. I just realized the las time We were in Gatlinburg was 9/11 we were eating an early b'fast coming home that day when the first news came in on the tv in the restraunt. People thought it was a joke till we saw the 2d plane crashing in the towers. A day to never forget/Lillian
I think that is great to have reunions. I know Rob and I treasure our years in the AF and hope to keep in contact with folks we have met for many years to come. Keep those reunions going.
So great that these reunions can take place...and thank your husband for his service to our great country...and you for supporting him!
Thank you for making this possible. This is so special and I know each of the couples will treasure the experience. God Bless you all.
Good on you and thank your husband for me for his service to your country. Love Chris
Thank you and them for their service to our country. I'm glad you had a nice time, in a wonderful fun place.
You were in my old stomping ground. As I am originally from Newport. TN. Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge are in God's country. I understand that Paula Deen has a place to eat there now. I always liked the "Apple Barn". Are you from Tennessee?
The Apple Barn is a great place to eat. I want to go to Paula's Restaurant if I ever get down that way again.
I was told at Paula's there are NO "carry out" for leftovers. Food was good, but expensive. We live in Knoxville, near there.
I usually get several quarts of Apple Butter from the Apple Barn Kay. Haven't been to Gatlinburg in quite a few yrs now but G daughter goes a couple times a yr and I always ask her to bring me some because Ron loves it
I realize some may not know apple butter. It is like preserves or jam with no pectin , apples cooked in oven with spices added, so good on toast or biscuits.
