My sewing friend is going to have a serger soon and she is a newbie to that. I would like to buy an oldschool good reference book for her. She reads english and german. Any good books around which will last over the beginner stadium? Thank you very much for your help and input, I know we have some wonderfull serger overlock cuties among us.

Sorry I do not have a book reference, but there are three fantastic videos done by Nancy Zieman and Pam Mahshie (BabyLock) that may help her...

I really liked the series of books by Palmer and Pletsch. The first one is called Seing With Sergers and Book 2 is Creative Serging. By Pati Palmer, Gail Brown and Sue Green. Good luck. Make a rug, using all the square pieces of fleece you have. Helps to learn and you have a useful item at the end.
