Well it seems that "the year from Hell" still has us in its clutches. :-((

Outside it is 30+ degrees C. and climbing, and my DH has had chills and fever all night until 3 a. m. and now at 1 p.m. they have started again. The specialist told us a couple of weeks ago that his white blood count is "low normal" and that one of the white cells does dips periodically. We treat with Tylenol, and Advil. It seems that he is highly susceptible to any virus or infections.. We pray that we can continue to control these outbursts. There is an option if we can't but we won't go there.... Thanks for listening,
Hugs, Nadyne

Praying for both of you. This can be a hard thing to get past or learn to adjust to. The post about the surgical mask is perfect. If anyone goes to my aunt's house they have to wash hands as soon as they go in, wear a mask, not touch her, and take the mask to the outside trash when they leave. She does have to wear a mask whenever she goes outside. In the last 3 years, she has only gotten sick twice. Hope it helps,

You two do what you need to do and what is right for you. You don't need to apologize to anyone. And feel free to talk to us anytime. Someone is always here to listen. My heart is sore for you. I know this is a tough time for you both. Our prayers will continue.

Hate to hear this. Maybe he should consider wearing surgical type mask when away from home and above all keep his Hands washed at all times with some kind of bacterial gel or wipes or just plain soap and water. I wouldn't let anyone near him with any kind of sniffle, cough or sneezing. As long as his white count is below normal he is at higher risk of an infection/Lillian

Thanks Lillian. We diligently do the washing and hand sanitizing but guess what,.... when we were in the clinic 10 days ago I overheard one of the specialists saying how sick she was and the receptionist was saying for her to keep her distance....makes one wonder doesn't it!!
The mask might be a good idea though. Thanks.
